Pete Crow-Armstrong crushed his 40th home run of the season in Chicago's 10-3 loss to the Marlins in Miami on Sunday. The Cubs slugger joined Phillies' Kyle Schwarber (42) as the only players to reach the 40-homer mark this season. His 403-foot drive tied the game in the fifth inning, making him the first Cubs left-handed hitter with 40 homers in a season, joining Billy Williams who hit 42 in 1970.

Crow-Armstrong also became the first player in Cubs history with 40 homers and 30 steals in a season, and just the fourth at age 24 or younger to achieve this feat in MLB history, alongside Ronald Acuna Jr., Alex Rodriguez and Jose Canseco. Despite the home run, the Cubs fell short as Javier Sanoja and Heriberto Hernandez each hit homers for Miami.
