The Milwaukee Brewers have rewarded their manager, Pat Murphy, with a new three-year contract, sources confirmed to ESPN. This deal includes a club option for 2029, securing Murphy through the 2029 season. Murphy, 68, led Milwaukee to a franchise-record 97 wins last season, capturing his second consecutive National League Manager of the Year award.

His leadership guided the Brewers to the NL Central title and a memorable NLDS sweep of the Cubs, though they ultimately fell to the Dodgers in the NLCS. This extension rewards Murphy's remarkable turnaround from a 42-54 interim stint in 2015 to a 97-win season. The Brewers also won the division in Murphy's first full season as manager in 2023 after promoting him from bench coach following Craig Counsell's departure.
