All 30 MLB clubs will host games on July 4, and each home team has prepared a patriotic giveaway to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence. Fans can expect caps, shirts, jerseys and novelty items ranging from a Red Sox USA soccer jersey to a Dodgers commemorative coin. The promotions aim to boost attendance during a busy holiday weekend.

The Kansas City Royals plan the most ambitious giveaway – a Bobby Witt Jr. bobblehead dubbed “Red, white and Bobby” for the first 25,000 fans on July 4. Houston offers two items, a Josh Hader patriotic jersey and an Orbit beach towel, while the White Sox and Mets handed out special America 250 shirts at their June 27 games to compensate for early home dates.

Collectively, the giveaways create a festive atmosphere that could translate into higher gate receipts and a morale boost for clubs battling for playoff positioning. Teams such as the Athletics and Guardians limit items to the first 10,000–15,000 fans, adding urgency to ticket purchases. The league’s coordinated effort underscores baseball’s role in national celebrations and reinforces fan loyalty.
