Hunter Greene threw 15 to 20 pitches Tuesday in his first side session since having bone chips removed from his elbow on March 11. The Cincinnati Reds right-hander, who started Opening Day in 2023 and 2025, is working toward a 14-16 week recovery timeline. Manager Terry Francona said it was encouraging to see Greene throw, though he still has work ahead.

Greene and left-hander Brandon Williamson, on the 60-day list with shoulder fatigue, will join the Reds for their six-game homestand starting Friday before heading back to Arizona. Right-hander Rhett Lowder threw long toss Tuesday after missing his last start on May 7 with shoulder pain and is set to throw to hitters Wednesday.

Emilio Pagán and Jose Trevino will get imaging Friday. Pagán strained his left hamstring while pitching May 5, and Trevino has been sidelined since May 17. Francona said Trevino is ready to ramp up activity. The imaging gives the Reds clearer pictures of where both players stand heading into a packed stretch.
