D-backs' Chase Field Ribbon Boards Cause Partial View Obstructions, Prompt Seat Relocations

New ribbon boards installed at Chase Field for the Arizona Diamondbacks have created partially obstructed views for dozens of upper deck seats, leading the team to relocate affected fans. The circular boards, part of a major offseason upgrade for the nearly 30-year-old stadium, primarily block sightlines from the first row of the upper deck. D-backs CEO Derrick Hall acknowledged the issue, stating the team is working closely with disgruntled ticket holders to find acceptable alternatives.

Hall apologized for the change, noting a similar obstruction occurred years ago on the suite level during the facility's initial construction. The problem also impacted press box seating, requiring the relocation of game operations staff, including the official scorer and pitch clock operator, before Monday night's home opener against the Detroit Tigers.
