### Blue Jays' Dylan Cease Out, Awaiting MRI Results

Toronto Blue Jays ace **Dylan Cease** will miss his next start as the team awaits MRI results on his pitching shoulder. Manager **John Schneider** confirmed Cease has been dealing with a shoulder issue for several weeks, noting a decrease in velocity.

"Just wanted to see, with the \[velocity drop] and if there's anything tied to that," Schneider said. "Not expecting anything crazy."

Cease was scheduled to start Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles. Depending on the MRI results, Schneider said Cease could still be an option for the Blue Jays' final regular-season series against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Blue Jays (76-79) entered Sunday three games behind the Chicago White Sox (79-76) for the final wild card in the American League. Toronto has a 4.7% chance of making the postseason, according to ESPN's playoff probabilities.
