The Oakland Athletics have emerged as the most successful team in utilizing the Automated Ball-Strike System during spring training, winning 69.2% of their challenges through the first 10 days. The San Francisco Giants followed closely at 66.7%, while the Cincinnati Reds, Miami Marlins, and San Diego Padres all posted 61.9% success rates. Major League Baseball announced these figures as teams prepare for the system's regular-season debut on March 25.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Los Angeles Dodgers struggled with the new technology, winning only 21.4% of their ABS appeals. The Baltimore Orioles fared slightly better at 25%, while the New York Mets and Texas Rangers posted 35.3% and 38.1% success rates respectively. Across all teams, MLB's overall success rate stands at 51.3%, with an average of 2.3 challenges per game.

The New York Yankees have been the most aggressive in challenging calls, averaging 3.8 challenges per game with a 52.6% success rate. The Minnesota Twins rank second in challenges at 3.6 per game, winning 58.3% of their appeals. MLB experimented with ABS during spring training last year, when teams won 52.2% of their challenges, and has been testing the system in the minor leagues since 2019.
