The winners of the World Cup will now receive championship rings alongside the traditional trophy and gold medals. This new prize, a recognizable American sporting tradition, is being introduced to the global game by FIFA.

A limited edition of 2,026 individually numbered rings will be produced, with 30 designated for the winning team. The remaining rings will be available for purchase by fans. One side of the ring will feature the World Cup trophy, while the other will be customized to represent the winning nation's identity.

Following the final, the winning captain and head coach will receive temporary rings. The 30 customized player rings will be awarded at a later date. This year's final features Argentina against Spain at Met Life Stadium. Argentina aims for consecutive World Cup titles, while Spain seeks their second. Lionel Messi is poised to make history as the first player to start three World Cup finals and potentially extend his scoring record.
