Lindsey Vonn and Chloe Kim secured spots on the U.S. Olympic team, while three-time Olympian Jamie Anderson was omitted. Vonn, 41, returns after a comeback, and Kim aims for a historic third straight snowboard gold. The roster also includes Mikaela Shiffrin and a new generation of snowboard talent.

Anderson's absence follows a two-year hiatus for childbirth and recent injuries, including a broken wrist and concussion. Despite flashes of her old form, she couldn't secure one of the three women's slopestyle quota spots. The U.S. team, heavily weighted with skiers and snowboarders, aims to replicate its 15-medal haul from Beijing.

Nick Goepper, who switched from freeski slopestyle to halfpipe, leads a team with podium potential. The selection process was fiercely competitive, with program director Rick Bower noting the incredible depth. The focus now shifts to Milan Cortina, where veterans and newcomers will compete in February.
