UConn's Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong headline the John R. Wooden Award's top 15 finalists, announced Sunday. The undefeated Huskies' duo represents the program's dominance, with Strong earning Big East Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors after leading the conference in steals.

Texas is the only other school with multiple candidates, as Madison Booker and Rori Harmon join the list. The field includes the nation's top three scorers: Vanderbilt's Mikayla Blakes (21.7 ppg), Iowa State's Audi Crooks (25.6 ppg), and Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo (25.2 ppg).

Strong's statistical dominance includes 18.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game through 30 contests. She ranks seventh nationally in steals with 97 total. Fudd, projected as the Dallas Wings' No. 1 WNBA draft pick, is averaging career highs of 17.9 points, 3.0 assists, and 48.1% shooting in her final UConn season.
