Troy's baseball team arrived in Omaha for their first Men's College World Series appearance only to discover $35,000 worth of camera equipment had been stolen from their bus. The theft was reported Sunday just before noon at Charles Schwab Field, where Troy was preparing to face Ole Miss in their opening game.

Omaha police confirmed the bus had been parked near the team hotel since Saturday afternoon, but no arrests have been made as the investigation continues. Despite losing their photography gear, Troy photographers borrowed equipment from the NCAA, CWS Inc., and host schools Creighton and Nebraska-Omaha to document their historic moment.

The borrowed gear captured Troy's 12-8 victory over Ole Miss, marking a milestone achievement for the Alabama program. Troy's executive associate athletic director Adam Prendergast praised the community support, calling it the most important aspect of the story rather than the theft itself.

Troy advances to face No. 16 West Virginia in an elimination game Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN, keeping their College World Series dreams alive despite the off-field setback.
