The PGA Tour's season finale at East Lake Golf Club features a 30-man field competing for the FedEx Cup and a $10 million winner's share of the $40 million purse. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler aims for his third victory of the season, which would likely secure his fifth straight PGA Tour Player of the Year award. Only Tiger Woods (1999-2003) has accomplished this feat. Wyndham Clark, Cameron Young, and Matt Fitzpatrick also have strong cases with a victory at East Lake. Several golfers are vying for spots on the Presidents Cup rosters, with U.S. team captain Brandt Snedeker set to make six captain's choices on Tuesday. The Presidents Cup will be held Sept. 24-27 at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago.

Rory McIlroy, the only three-time FedEx Cup winner, is making his ninth straight appearance at East Lake, the longest streak on tour. Xander Schauffele, a two-time major champion, has seven top-five finishes in eight starts at the course. Wyndham Clark, who won the BMW Championship, has built a solid case for PGA Tour Player of the Year. Collin Morikawa turned things around after struggling in Memphis, tying for fourth in the BMW Championship. Russell Henley, the only former University of Georgia golfer in the field, has played exceptionally well at East Lake, finishing in the top five in three of his past four starts.
