Tramon Mark hit a fadeaway jumper with 1.1 seconds left to give Texas a 68-66 victory over NC State in the NCAA tournament's First Four. The Longhorns (19-14), who entered the tournament on a five-game losing streak, survived a late Wolfpack rally to advance. Mark's clutch shot came after NC State had tied the game at 66 with 1.1 seconds remaining.

Texas built a 25-15 lead but went scoreless over the final 4:06 of the first half, allowing NC State to cut the deficit to one by halftime. The Longhorns led by nine with under three minutes left, but the Wolfpack scored 10 points in a 1:12 span to force overtime. Paul McNeil Jr. hit two 3-pointers during the run, and Darrion Williams connected from deep to get NC State within one.

Mark finished with 17 points, including his fourth game-winner in the final five seconds of his career. Matas Vokietaitis added 15 points and Dailyn Swain contributed 13 for Texas. Williams led NC State with 21 points, while Quadir Copeland scored 16 and McNeil added 11. The win sends Texas to face sixth-seeded BYU in the first round.
