Two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler arrived at Augusta National with his entire family, including 9-day-old son Remy, marking a rare glimpse into the typically private golfer's personal life. Scheffler withdrew from the Houston Open two weeks ago due to his wife Meredith's impending childbirth, with Remy born on March 27. The couple named their second son Remy simply because "we just liked it," Scheffler explained, adding they struggled to find boy names after their first son Bennett was born in 2024 before the PGA Championship.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy has been enjoying his Masters perks all weekend, watching the Augusta National Women's Amateur and presenting trophies at the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals in his green jacket. McIlroy expressed gratitude for the exclusive Masters Club dinner he'll host Tuesday, featuring an elaborate menu he's carefully selected. He also acknowledged the absence of Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson due to personal matters, noting both have been among the tournament's greatest champions.

Other notable Masters participants included Bryson DeChambeau practicing alone after the youth competitions and Gary Player preparing for his honorary tee shot Thursday. Scheffler faces historical pressure as Adam Scott in 2013 remains the last player to win the Masters after a three-week break. "I've been practicing," Scheffler said of his preparation, having worked at home while awaiting his son's arrival.
