The 2026 Premier Lacrosse League playoffs begin this weekend at TCO Stadium in Minneapolis, with four teams competing in the quarterfinal round. In the West, the California Redwoods host the Denver Outlaws on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. The Redwoods will rely on Chris Kavanagh, who led the team in scoring with 34 points despite appearing in only 10 games, and veteran goalie Dillon Ward. The Outlaws are set to welcome back all four of their Tewaaraton Award winners, including Pat Kavanagh and Jared Bernhardt, though they face pending free agency decisions. Coach Tim Soudan must also choose between goalies Logan McNaney and Owen McElroy.

In the East, the Maryland Whipsnakes face the Boston Cannons at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Cannons get a boost with the return of star midfielder Matt Campbell, while Marcus Holman continues his chase of John Grant Jr.'s all-time goals record, sitting at 387 goals to Grant's 393. The Whipsnakes will lean on rookie Joey Spallina, who finished his debut season with 36 points, the fourth-highest rookie total in league history.

Both games feature significant injury concerns. The Cannons are without Marquez White (ACL) and Ryan Drenner, while the Whipsnakes deal with multiple absences including Eric Kolar and Shun Ito. The winners will advance to face the Utah Archers and Philadelphia Waterdogs, respectively.
