NASCAR has suspended Daniel Dye for mocking IndyCar driver David Malukas during a livestream. The Truck Series driver for Kaulig Racing used voices, including mimicking Malukas' voice, making implications about Malukas' sexuality. Dye is also suspended by his team and must undergo sensitivity training.

Dye apologized in a social media post, calling his comments "careless" and acknowledging he should "hold myself to a higher standard." He mentioned having friends in the LGBTQ+ community. This marks the second major penalty for Dye, who previously faced an indefinite suspension after a felony battery charge that was later reduced to a misdemeanor.

In his third full Truck Series season, Dye moved to Kaulig Racing this year for Ram's return to NASCAR. Through three races, his best finish was 13th at Atlanta. The suspension highlights NASCAR's stricter stance on driver conduct amid the sport's efforts to promote inclusivity.
