Moutet ignored repeated requests from the interviewer to stop using offensive language, continuing to curse three more times before adding another three expletives at the interview's conclusion. The fine consumes nearly all of Moutet's tournament earnings, which totaled approximately $43,500 for reaching the second round. Ranked No. 36 in the world and still seeking his first ATP title at age 27, Moutet has history with on-court confrontations. He was previously involved in a heated exchange with Alexander Bublik that required a chair umpire to intervene at a Phoenix Challenger event.
