Jim Stewart Allen never made his high school baseball team, but the 37-year-old substitute teacher found his calling waving broccoli like pom-poms at sporting events. After years of dancing with vegetables at minor-league games and Division II softball matches, Allen discovered his perfect match in Mississippi State softball during their Eugene Regional appearance.

Freshman pinch-runner Ally Supan noticed Allen's broccoli dance moves and joined in, sparking an instant connection. When All-American pitcher Peja Goold asked her father to buy broccoli for the team huddle before facing St. Mary's, the Bulldogs embraced their quirky superfan. The gesture seemed to work as Mississippi State advanced to a Super Regional for just the second time in program history.

With Allen dancing in the Oklahoma City stands, Mississippi State delivered the biggest upset of the tournament, snapping Oklahoma's nine-year WCWS streak that included six national championships. The Bulldogs dominated Game 3 with a 6-0 victory, and players awarded Allen the Super Regional trophy before taking a team photo with him.

Team parents launched a GoFundMe to cover Allen's travel costs, recognizing how their inspirational superfan helped fuel their historic run to the Women's College World Series. Mississippi State's embrace of Allen shows how positive energy can transform both player and fan experience.
