Club professional Michael Block's magical run at the 108th PGA Championship appears to be ending early. The Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club instructor carded a second-round 75 at Aronimink Golf Club, putting him at 5-over 145 for the tournament and likely outside the cut line. After opening with an even-par 70 on Thursday, Block struggled down the stretch with bogeys on his final two holes.

Despite the disappointing finish, the fan favorite remains undeterred about his major championship future. 'There's no way on God's green earth this is my last one,' Block told SiriusXM. 'No chance. I will definitely qualify for one more, if not five more.' Block, who turns 50 next month, plans to pursue the Senior U.S. Open and has received an exemption into the Scottish Senior Men's Open in June.

Block's popularity stems from his surprise 15th-place finish at the 2023 PGA Championship, where he made a memorable hole-in-one while playing alongside Rory McIlroy. That performance transformed him from club pro to household name among golf fans. Now he'll look to build on that foundation as he transitions to senior competition, starting with the Senior U.S. Open at Scioto Country Club in July.
