ESPN has tapped comedian Marcello Hernández to host The ESPYS on July 15, bringing the sports awards show back to New York for the first time in over 25 years. The ceremony will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center and air on ABC with streaming on the ESPN App.

Hernández, who recently wrapped his fourth season on Saturday Night Live, brings genuine sports credentials to the role. The comedian played soccer at John Carroll University and maintains deep connections to New York City, where he once traveled 12 hours from Cleveland to perform on street corners for stage time.
