Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie will be memorialized with a statue outside Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with a ceremony scheduled for Sept. 20 in Star Plaza. The two-time WNBA champion, three-time MVP and four-time Olympic gold medalist becomes just the second WNBA player in league history to receive a statue from her organization.

Leslie played all 12 seasons with the Sparks, earning 12 All-WNBA selections, eight All-Star berths and leading Los Angeles to its first two championships in 2001 and 2002. She ranks No. 13 in league history with 6,263 career points, No. 6 in rebounds (3,307) and No. 3 in blocks (822), while holding franchise records in points, rebounds, blocks, field goals, free throws, minutes and games. The USC product was the first player in WNBA history to dunk in a game.

She joins an elite group of sports figures with statues at the arena, including Kobe Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal and Wayne Gretzky. "To be cemented in Los Angeles, the city that raised me, I couldn't be more proud to be a role model forever," Leslie said.
