A Texas court backed Little League Baseball's decision to remove a Tulsa, Oklahoma, team from the Southwest Region, keeping it from playing in Tuesday's championship game for a spot in the Little League Baseball World Series. Little League on Monday determined a player ineligible and removed Tulsa National, deeming its previous game a forfeit. Parents obtained a temporary restraining order from 414th District Court in McLennan County, allowing Tulsa to play, but Little League asked the court to vacate it, which it did Tuesday afternoon.

As a result, West Texas, represented by Boerne Little League, secured the region's berth in next week's international tournament in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with Monday's 4-1 victory over Louisiana. Little League said it upholds commitment to a fair experience based on official rules. The player, identified in court documents as O.G., was ruled ineligible due to a wrong birth year entered on behalf of his sibling, through whom O.G. maintained eligibility. Mindy Abbott, Little League's district administrator in Oklahoma, noted the 13 teammates did not enter incorrect information.

O.G. had not played in the Southwest Region but his sibling, K.G., was in the Challenger Division. Little League's Charter Committee granted O.G. eligibility based on sibling relationship, but the father mistakenly entered the wrong birth year for the sibling, who is actually 10 years old and never actively participated. Three protests were filed, including two related to O.G., triggering a formal investigation. Little League expressed empathy for the children of Tulsa National and hope that adults act with integrity.
