Joey Logano ended a 9-year drought at Richmond Raceway, charging past Chase Briscoe on fresh tires to claim his 39th career win by 0.392 seconds, warning rivals, “Don’t let the boys get hot,” after fending off a late charge.

After falling to as low as 20th in the standings midseason, Logano surged to ninth, winning two of the past four races and only one in his previous 56 starts. Two races remain before the Chase, which includes the top 16 drivers, and his form has re‑established him as a championship contender.

Logano’s third Richmond win came after crew chief Paul Wolfe pitted him just after retaking the lead with 39 laps to go; he needed only 15 laps to pass Christopher Bell and hold off Briscoe, who led 171 of 400 laps. Austin Cindric finished third, crediting Logano’s advice, while Denny Hamlin took fourth and Chase Elliott recorded his first top five since Texas.

Richmond Raceway honored Denny Hamlin’s family in a ceremony dedicating the seats where his parents sat, a touching moment during his homecoming weekend. Ty Gibbs urged NASCAR to remove the digital rearview camera, noting the series managed without it before, and the track announced a second consecutive sellout, its 11th of the season.
