Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson's major-league-record errorless streak continued to 113 games Tuesday night, after an errant throw in the eighth inning was overturned from its original ruling.

In a 12-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, Wilson threw wide of Donovan Walton at second base. Originally ruled an error—his first since July 6, 2025—the call was later changed to a fielder's choice for Yandy Díaz, allowing the streak to live on.

Wilson, 24, recently surpassed Mike Bordick's record of 110 games during a win over the Boston Red Sox. He credited his father, Jack Wilson, a 12-year major league shortstop, for teaching him to prioritize defense and preparation every day.
