Seventh-ranked Iowa State dismantled Arizona State 91-42 in the Big 12 tournament, setting a new tournament record for largest margin of victory. The Cyclones' 49-point demolition surpassed Texas' 43-point win over Colorado in 2000 and sent the Sun Devils to what could be their final game under coach Bobby Hurley.

Iowa State dominated from start to finish, building a 45-16 halftime lead and extending it with an 18-0 run late in the first half. The decisive stretch included three technical fouls on Arizona State, including two on Hurley himself during a disastrous possession. The Sun Devils turned the ball over 23 times and shot just 1-of-19 from three-point range.

Milan Momcilovic led Iowa State with 21 points while Joshua Jefferson added 20 points and 12 rebounds. Santiago Trouet scored 13 for Arizona State, which fell to 17-16. The loss extended Hurley's record to 185-167 in 11 seasons and likely sealed his fate in Tempe. Iowa State advances to face No. 16 Texas Tech in Thursday's quarterfinals.
