Michigan coach Dusty May has informed university officials he's not pursuing other college basketball jobs, sources told ESPN. May had been an initial target for North Carolina after the Tar Heels fired Hubert Davis, but the Wolverines' run to the national championship game changed those plans.

May agreed to a new deal with Michigan last year before leading the Wolverines to the Sweet 16. This season, Michigan has been one of the nation's best teams at 36-3 overall, winning the Big Ten regular-season title with 29 double-digit victories. His contract runs through 2030 and includes a $7 million buyout if he leaves this spring.

North Carolina's search continues after Tommy Lloyd agreed to stay at Arizona on Friday. Billy Donovan is expected to be among the Tar Heels' top targets as they seek to replace Davis, who was fired after five seasons following another early NCAA tournament exit.
