SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Caitlin Clark marked her return to competitive basketball with a dazzling performance for Team USA, scoring 17 points and dishing 12 assists in a 110-64 rout of Senegal in FIBA World Cup qualifying action. The Indiana Fever star, playing for the first time since July, connected on all four of her 3-point attempts in just 19 minutes.

Clark's comeback came eight months after suffering a groin injury that sidelined her during the WNBA season. A subsequent bone bruise on her left ankle kept her from fully testing her recovery until now. The Fever shut her down in September, and she spent months rehabbing away from the team before joining USA Basketball's December camp.

USA head coach Kara Lawson praised Clark's versatility, noting she toggled effectively between scoring and playmaking. "She brings this dynamic play to the offensive end," Lawson said. "This is the most talented team she's played on." Clark's teammates Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese also made their national team debuts, while Team USA has already secured its World Cup berth for September's tournament in Germany.
