Kansas sophomore Flory Bidunga intends to declare for the NBA draft while maintaining his college eligibility, sources told ESPN on Thursday. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward also plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, keeping his options open for another collegiate season. Bidunga would immediately become the top player in the portal among more than 800 players who have indicated their intention to enter.

Bidunga averaged 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds for the Jayhawks this season, finishing third in the Big 12 in rebounding. He led the conference in blocks with 2.6 per game and in field goal percentage at an impressive 64%. His defensive prowess made him a candidate for national defensive player of the year recognition.

ESPN's Jeremy Woo projects Bidunga as a second-round draft pick at No. 44. In an era where college big men command a premium on the market, Bidunga would be one of the most coveted players in the country if he returns for his junior year after the transfer portal opens Tuesday.
