Arizona dominated Arkansas with a record-setting offensive performance, routing the Razorbacks 109-88 to advance to the Elite Eight. Six Wildcats scored at least 14 points, led by freshmen Brayden Burries and Koa Peat with 21 each. The 64% shooting marked the highest field goal percentage in the Sweet 16 or later since 2016.

The victory ended Arizona's Sweet 16 drought that dated back to 2015 and extended their winning streak to 12 games. Coach Tommy Lloyd has now won 147 games in his first five seasons but had struggled in tournament play before this year. Arkansas, led by Darius Acuff Jr.'s 28 points, suffered its largest tournament loss under John Calipari.

Arizona will face Purdue in the West Region final after the Boilermakers narrowly defeated Texas 79-77. The Wildcats are one win away from their first Final Four appearance since 2001. Despite the offensive showcase, Lloyd cautioned that replicating this performance against Purdue won't be automatic.
