Tick, tick, tick... The trade deadline in ESPN fantasy baseball leagues arrives Friday at noon ET. If you haven't fine-tuned your roster, do so now. This week's list of "gut call" trade targets features players with strong stretch-run potential.

Jackson Chourio (Milwaukee Brewers OF) has made mechanical adjustments boosting his barrel and hard-hit rates to the 90th and 85th percentiles. He's adding more than 150 points of slugging against fastballs compared to 2025 and has a shot at 30 homers.

Max Fried (New York Yankees SP) is four starts removed from an IL stint but hasn't lost velocity or effectiveness. The Yankees have 11 games against bottom-five offenses and Fried has a history of finishing with quality starts (six of his final seven in 2025, six of eight in 2024).

Luis Garcia Jr. (Yankees 2B/1B) is posting personal bests in pull rate (42.5%) and air rate (56.2%), ranking second in MLB in slugging (.551). He's still available in nearly 20% of ESPN leagues. Payton Tolle (Red Sox SP) ranks 16th among starters in fantasy points since May but is available in over one-third of leagues.

Alec Burleson (Cardinals OF/1B) ranks fourth among outfielders in fantasy points yet starts in under 90% of leagues. He's the only hitter with 75th percentile barrel, hard-hit, and strikeout rates. Finally, Josh Naylor (Mariners 1B) has swiped eight bases in 29 games during a 25-game on-base streak; Seattle faces a favorable September schedule with 17 games against bottom-five ERA teams.
