NFL Veteran Moves & Labor Concerns
Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco secured a deal to return for a 19th season, reportedly agreeing to a one-year, $6 million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals as teams continue to finalize rosters. This player movement comes as the league office prepares for potential disruptions, with the competition committee finalizing proposals for rule adjustments specifically designed to manage replacement officials should ongoing collective bargaining negotiations with the referees' union falter.
