Cowboys Cornerback Addition
The Cowboys are set to sign Cobie Durant espn.com to a one-year contract, adding depth to their secondary after the veteran cornerback's strong showing in limited action last season. The move comes as Dallas looks to bolster its pass defense following a 2024 campaign where the team ranked 22nd in yards allowed per game. Sources indicate Durant's familiarity with defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer's scheme from their time together in Carolina made the fit particularly appealing. The deal positions the 26-year-old to compete for playing time opposite Trevon Diggs in a secondary that surrendered 28 passing touchdowns last season.
