×Player Health & Personal News
Tyrese Maxey's sprained finger tests negative for fractures, clearing him to return after missing Sunday's game, while the 76ers guard and girlfriend Myra Gordon announced their first child via social media posts showing the couple together. The positive medical news comes as a relief to Philadelphia, which has relied heavily on Maxey's scoring this season.
League Discipline & Conduct
The NBA blocked the Hawks' strip club tribute, citing "concerns" from across the league about Atlanta's planned celebration of the Magic City nightclub. Meanwhile, Thunder forward Luguentz Dort apologized to Nikola Jokic after committing his second flagrant foul on the Nuggets center in two weeks, with the incident occurring in the fourth quarter of their recent matchup.
League Operations
Warriors coach Steve Kerr renewed calls to shorten the season, arguing that reducing games from the current 82-game schedule would benefit player health and game quality. Kerr's comments echo previous statements about the demanding pace of the modern NBA calendar, particularly as load management becomes increasingly common among star players.
