AL Central & AL East Roster Moves

The Houston Astros continue suffering mid-season setbacks as the team formally placed shortstop Jeremy Pena on the injury list due to a hamstring issue, concurrently shelving starter Tatsuya Imai with arm fatigue, compounding their struggles in the standings. Across the division, the Toronto Blue Jays executed a trade for depth, acquiring infielder Lenyn Sosa from the White Sox after outfielder George Springer was sidelined over the weekend with a toe injury. Separately, the New York Yankees finalized a transaction by returning Rule 5 pick Cade Winquest, a 25-year-old right-hander, back to the St. Louis Cardinals just three days after designating him for assignment.
