AL/NL Injury Updates
The Oakland Athletics sustained a blow as outfielder Brent Rooker was placed yesterday on the 10-day injured list due to an oblique strain, which consequently terminated his impressive streak of 213 consecutive games played. Compounding injury woes, the Mets saw starter Clay Holmes depart during the sixth inning against the A's after experiencing left hamstring tightness, forcing an early exit with one out recorded.
