Victor Wembanyama poured **26 points**, four rebounds and two blocks to lead the Spurs in a **123‑108** defeat by **Oklahoma City** in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. The loss puts San Antonio 2‑1 behind, the first time this postseason the Spurs fell after scoring 25 or more. Wembanyama said he must improve as a collaborator.

Although the Spurs exploded 15‑0 early, the Thunder re‑established control once Wembanyama left the floor. San Antonio’s bench lagged, with Oklahoma City’s reserves scoring 76‑23 in this game alone. Fox, returning from injury, sparked the opening burst, but the team failed to sustain the momentum into the final quarter.

Coach **Mitch Johnson** admitted the team’s pace tapered, while Wembanyama highlighted the need for better ball‑handling and defensive pressure. He noted that when off the floor, the Spurs dropped from a 26‑11 advantage to a 15‑5 deficit. The players said they must tighten their collective effort if they hope to stay in the series.

The Spurs now face a critical juncture as they trail the Thunder and must refine their teamwork. With Wembanyama’s growth in the spotlight, San Antonio’s path to a championship hinges on the collective improvement of its bench and frontcourt. The series will resume on Thursday, where every possession counts.
