NHL Playoff Fantasy Strategy
With fantasy hockey playoffs underway, experts recommend targeting high-ice-time defensemen and streaming goalies based on matchups to maximize category wins. The strategy emphasizes loading up on players from playoff-bound teams who'll see extended minutes in crucial games, while avoiding players on bubble teams that might rest veterans.
League Discipline Updates
The NHL has cleared the Ottawa Senators of draft pick forfeiture in the Evgenii Dadonov trade controversy, ruling that their involvement in the canceled 2022 deal between Vegas and Anaheim did not warrant punishment. The league's decision maintains Ottawa's 2026 first-round selection, preserving their draft capital as they rebuild through the draft.
Women's Hockey Expansion
The Professional Women's Hockey League is making its national television debut with a Detroit game that will reach U.S. audiences, marking a significant milestone for women's professional hockey. This broadcast represents the PWHL's broadest American exposure yet as the league continues expanding its footprint in the competitive sports landscape.
