Dimension Capital announced a $800 million third fund, 60% larger than its $500 million second vehicle raised just 18 months earlier. The New York firm, founded in late 2022 by Zavian Dar, Adam Goulburn, and Nan Li — former partners at Lux Capital and Obvious Ventures — invests at the intersection of science and compute.

The partners bet that founders would increasingly build deep-tech companies crossing biotech and software boundaries. In 2024, they co-led a $30 million seed in Chai Discovery, which develops open-source AI foundation models for drug development; last week Chai raised $400 million at a $3.8 billion valuation.

Dimension also backed anti-aging startup New Limit at its Series A in January 2025. New Limit, co-founded by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, completed a Series C this month at a $3.1 billion valuation. Other notable investments include inference company Modal Labs and Anthropic, with Dimension receiving shares after Anthropic acquired portfolio company Coefficient Bio for a reported $400 million.
