Promptwatch raises €6m seed to boost AI chatbot visibility

Amsterdam-based Promptwatch, which helps companies boost visibility on AI chatbots such as Chat GPT and Claude, raised a €6m seed round led by Berlin VC firm Seed + Speed Ventures, with Blum Ventures and Arches Capital also participating. The startup says it has nearly 2,000 users, including Duolingo and Fireflies, and reached €2m in annual recurring revenue in May 2026, just a year after launch.

The funding will support expansion into New York, where Promptwatch has opened an office. Cofounder and CEO Gijs de Groot notes there are about ten serious global competitors for AI search, naming Peec as the main European rival. He says Promptwatch’s 17‑person team stands out because it also creates chatbot‑friendly content for customers, a service Peec does not offer.

AI search optimisation (GEO) is becoming a priority for marketers trying to ensure their brands appear in AI‑generated answers. De Groot advises companies to publish far more fresh content, as AI‑search visibility has a shorter shelf life than traditional Google rankings, and notes that even Promptwatch will spend part of its post‑raise budget on improving its own Google visibility.
