Granola, the London-based AI notetaking startup, has achieved unicorn status with a $125 million Series C funding round led by Index Ventures, pushing its valuation to $1.5 billion. This makes it the latest UK company to reach the coveted $1 billion-plus mark. Granola's platform transcribes meetings and uses artificial intelligence to generate complete, searchable summaries, attracting customers like Cursor and Gousto.

Alongside the funding, the company is launching new features, including integrations with Anthropic PBC’s Claude Code for AI coding tools and team workspaces for pooled notes. The investment round also includes participation from Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Spark Capital. Granola previously raised $43 million in a Series B led by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross in May 2025 at a $250 million valuation.

It aims to expand its team from 19 to around 80 employees within the next year and was recently recognized as one of Europe's fastest-growing startup teams. This significant funding underscores Granola's rapid growth and ambition to dominate the AI-powered meeting and collaboration tools market.
