AI-native cloud monitoring startup Dash0 is pursuing a $1bn valuation in its latest funding round, according to reports. Founded in 2023 and initially based in Germany, the company relocated its headquarters to New York while maintaining a significant European presence, particularly in Berlin. Dash0's platform, featuring its AI agent Agent0, helps developers quickly identify and resolve cloud system issues.

The company recently raised $35 million in a Series A round led by Accel, Cherry Ventures, and Dig Ventures. Now, Bloomberg reports Dash0 is in advanced talks with London-based Balderton Capital to lead a fresh funding round, which would value the company at $1bn. This would mark Dash0 as the latest European startup to achieve unicorn status.

Founder and CEO Mirko Novakovic acknowledged the challenge of securing European investors for later-stage funding, stating he took Cherry Ventures' investment partly to boost European representation on the cap table, as 'there are not so many European funds who can do A, B, C at some stages.' Dash0 and Balderton did not immediately comment.
