UBS has bolstered its EMEA secondaries advisory unit with two high‑profile hires from DC Advisory, underscoring the bank’s commitment to expanding its private‑funds capabilities across the region.

The director’s return to UBS is marked by the reunion with Michael Wieczorek, who joined the investment bank late last year to head its EMEA secondaries advisory team after a successful stint at DC Advisory. Wieczorek’s expertise in secondary market transactions and his deep network of fund managers will help UBS navigate the increasingly complex landscape of private‑fund liquidity.

In a further bulk‑up, UBS announced that London‑based Rob Hayward will focus on continuation‑fund advisory across private equity, infrastructure and private credit. Hayward brings a track record of advising high‑profile investors on secondary market transactions and will support the bank’s clients looking for tailored liquidity solutions.

Marc Wursdorfer, head of UBS’s private funds group, confirmed the appointments in a statement to Secondaries Investor, noting that the hires reinforce the bank’s ability to deliver comprehensive secondaries solutions and meet growing demand for sophisticated advisory services across a range of asset classes.
