Blue Owl has acquired a passive stake in tail-end specialist Hollyport Capital, which will “ultimately represent” approximately 25% of the firm’s economic interests. Funds managed by Blue Owl’s GP Strategic Capital platform have taken a passive, non-voting stake. Hollyport is maintaining its independence amid a wave of secondaries M&A.

The transaction allows Hollyport to access capital without ceding control, as the secondaries market sees increased consolidation. The stake is structured as a minority, non-voting interest, preserving Hollyport's strategic autonomy.

Blue Owl’s GP Strategic Capital platform focuses on providing liquidity solutions to alternative asset managers. This deal highlights the growing trend of passive minority investments in the secondaries space.
