Capital Group KKR Launch Hybrid Equity Strategy

Capital Group and KKR have expanded their public-private investment partnership with the launch of Capital Group KKR U.S. Equity+, marking their first integrated equity strategy. The new vehicle blends public and private equity within a single portfolio, with approximately 60% allocated to actively managed large-cap US equities and the remainder invested alongside KKR's private equity funds.

This launch follows the firms' rollout of two public-private credit products in 2025, extending their partnership into equity markets. The strategy is structured as an interval fund, offering periodic liquidity, lower minimums, and no accreditation requirements. This positions it as a core allocation product rather than a standalone alternatives sleeve.

Capital Group oversees $3.4tn in assets globally. The launch reflects growing demand for hybrid public-private solutions as asset managers respond to structural shifts where increasing corporate growth occurs in private markets. By combining high-conviction public equity with private equity exposure, the firms aim to provide investors a more complete way to participate in the evolution of the U.S. equity landscape while maintaining adviser-focused education and portfolio construction support.
