Ardian has agreed to sell its majority stake in Acousti Engineering to Gamut Capital Management, exiting its North America Fund II investment. The deal caps a holding period where Ardian helped convert the family‑run firm into a specialty interiors contractor. Acousti now ranks among the largest interior‑finishes firms. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the exit signals confidence in contractors as investors seek cash flows.

During Ardian’s ownership, Acousti expanded into more than 15 metropolitan areas, adding ceiling, drywall and flooring services for institutional and commercial clients. Management introduced new systems, including an AI‑driven bidding platform, and tightened leadership to chase higher‑margin projects. Clients report faster quote turnaround and higher win rates, reinforcing the competitive edge. CEO Jason Taylor credited the partnership for turning the company into a robust operator.

Ardian’s North America Fund manager Kevin Kruse said the firm generated “significant value” despite a challenging exit environment and will now return capital to investors. The transaction underscores private‑equity confidence in the interior‑fitout sector, where consolidation and technology upgrades are driving earnings growth. Acousti’s new owners inherit a platform positioned for continued expansion.
