Abu Dhabi-based investment firm 2PointZero has agreed to acquire Traverse Midstream Partners for $2.25 billion, marking one of its most significant transactions since formation. The deal expands the firm's exposure to US energy infrastructure through assets linked to major natural gas networks, according to Bloomberg.

In parallel, 2PointZero invested in Whoop's latest funding round, which values the fitness technology company at $10.1 billion, alongside other Middle East investors including Mubadala and Qatar Investment Authority. The dual transactions demonstrate sustained appetite for international investments from Gulf-based capital despite ongoing regional conflict and broader economic uncertainty.

2PointZero manages approximately $33 billion in assets and is part of Abu Dhabi's broader investment ecosystem that collectively oversees more than $2 trillion in capital. The acquisition of Traverse Midstream provides exposure to US natural gas infrastructure, including assets transporting energy from key shale regions to major demand centers. The firm was established following a restructuring of Abu Dhabi's corporate landscape, bringing together multiple investment platforms under a single entity.
