Vista Equity Partners has made a new investment in Portside, a Cary, North Carolina-based provider of cloud-based software solutions for global aviation. The investment, announced alongside the appointment of Brandon Holden as CEO, will accelerate platform integration and advance Portside's AI-enabled roadmap. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction.

Insight Partners, Portside's current investor, will remain a significant shareholder as Vista deepens its involvement. Holden succeeds Alek Vernitsky, Portside's co-founder, who will continue serving as a strategic advisor. Vista made its initial investment in Portside in 2024, signaling continued confidence in the aviation software provider's growth trajectory.

Portside's platform addresses operational demands across multiple aspects of aviation business management. The investment aims to scale global go-to-market capabilities while enhancing AI-driven features. Legal counsel Lowenstein Sandler LLP represented Portside, while Kirkland & Ellis LLP advised Vista on the transaction. This strategic move positions Portside to further penetrate the aviation software market with enhanced technological capabilities.
