Verdane is leading a capital raise for Xpansiv, a global energy-transition platform operating registries, marketplaces, and data platforms for energy and environmental commodity markets. The nine-figure deal will fund Xpansiv’s acquisition strategy and expansion into new products, asset classes, and geographies. Xpansiv’s platform connects corporations, utilities, and traders to clean power, renewable energy certificates, verified carbon credits, and clean fuel credits, processing about one billion transactions annually.

Its registries support more than 320GW of renewable generation capacity across more than 60 countries, representing about 4 percent of global electricity generation and 7 percent of renewable energy generation. The company’s network manages about 28 percent of the renewable energy certificates issued globally in 2025. Xpansiv has acquired APX, Evolution Markets, and Evident over the past four years.

Existing investors include Blackstone Group, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Aramco Ventures, Macquarie Group, S&P Global Ventures, Aware Super, BP Ventures, and Commonwealth Bank. Verdane, a European growth investment firm with €10 billion in capital raised and over 200 investments since 2003, stated that Xpansiv operates the market infrastructure for the global energy transition, a position strengthening as reporting and compliance obligations widen.
