Align Collaborate and Valedor Partners portfolio company Q360 Group has acquired The Flexo Factor, a provider of flexographic cleaning supplies, pressroom equipment, and on-site training and consulting, for undisclosed terms. Q360 was formed by Align Collaborate in partnership with Valedor Partners.
Founded in 1996 and based in Monroe, North Carolina, The Flexo Factor supplies anilox and plate cleaning products, ultrasonic cleaning systems, doctor blades, anilox rolls, pressroom and converting equipment, and on-site flexo training. Its customers include narrow-web, mid-web, wide-web and corrugated printers. Steven Wilkinson is the company's owner and president. The deal adds The Flexo Factor's anilox and pressroom cleaning products to Q360's range and deepens the recurring consumables relationship Q360 has with its installed customer base.
"The Flexo Factor is just the kind of business Q360 was built to acquire: a trusted brand, deep technical know-how, and a recurring consumables relationship with a loyal installed base," said David Bloch, a director of Q360 and operating partner at Valedor Partners.
Q360 is actively seeking further acquisitions of complementary businesses that supply consumables, short-cycle parts and other products and services to flexographic label and packaging printers. The company is particularly interested in owners looking for a succession option. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Q360 serves printers and converters across consumables and supplies, parts, equipment and services.
Align Collaborate invests exclusively in independent sponsor-led transactions, or alongside lower mid-market sponsors closing deals pre-fund or between funds. The firm is an affiliate of Align Capital Partners, and the two together manage $3.2 billion in committed capital. Align Collaborate's investment team on the deal included partner Michael Kornman, vice-president Bob Grebenc and associate Andrew Chalhoub.
