Banner Capital has completed the first deal for Roof Restoration Group, its Southwest-based commercial roofing and building services platform, partnering with Exterior Solutions Group, a commercial roofing contractor headquartered in Edmond, Oklahoma. No financial terms were disclosed.
Roof Restoration Group is a platform in Banner Capital's Fund II, built to partner with founder-led commercial roofing contractors across the Southwest and beyond. It gives contractors capital and shared finance, procurement, safety and national sales infrastructure, while they keep their teams, brands and customer relationships. RRG expects Exterior Solutions Group to be the first in a series of such deals.
Kyle Crawford, a fourth-generation roofer with more than 40 years of industry experience, founded Exterior Solutions Group in 2017. The company replaces, restores and maintains roofs for K-12 public school districts, colleges and commercial property owners. Crawford has completed projects across the country, including the roof of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. He will continue to lead the business, has joined RRG's board and has reinvested alongside Banner Capital and RRG executives.
"Commercial roofing is an essential, non-discretionary service, and building owners – especially public schools – need partners they can trust to protect their facilities," said Mc Kay Potter, principal at Banner Capital and an RRG board member. Banner Capital is a lower middle-market private equity firm that backs founder-led and family-owned businesses in the western US, typically with EBITDA of $4 million to $15 million. The firm has offices in Utah and Arizona and managed $611 million in assets as of June 30, 2026.
